Belize Gets Rid of Trawlers to Preserve Fisheries' Health

Belize, which has one of the most forward looking fisheries management systems in the Caribbean, has rid itself of the destructive practice of trawling.  Belizean fisheries cooperatives have much sway in the way Belize handles its fisheries.  We might some day do as well.

Looks like the world is tip toeing in the right direction, it will take leaps and bounds to surmount what is happening in our backyard. Start training for the steeplechase.

a small country of the Black Islands "Palau" and the "Venesuela" are also against BOTTOM TRAWLERS and they know better when to Stop before things go completely out of CONTROLL.
